Raw Amber African Honey
From wild bees in the wooded Savannah of Northern Benin.
Raw African Honey
This unique honey is produced by a cooperative of beekeepers from the wooded Savannah of northern Benin. The site sits on 55 hectares of wild forest, and the beekeepers installed 192 hives. Wild bees colonize the hives and harvest pollen from Nèrè, Shea, Mango, Gmelina, Moringa, Cashew, Acacia, Ficus and many other trees and flowers to produce the most flavorful honey ever tasted. The production is fully organic, but not (yet) certified. The money the beekeepers receive from their honey brings badly needed income to this great group and their families.
