As Chrissy Wellington states, Vitamin C tops the list of immune boosters.
With the cold and flu season being upon us, I want to share some of our favorite recipes that are rich in Vitamin C, and can contribute to a strong immune system!
Natural Immune Booster Smoothie
- 1 Tbsp Atacora Baobab Superfruit Powder
- 1/2 apple
- 1 handful kale
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk or dairy free rice milk
Iron and Vitamin C are like 2 peas in a pod and work together to give your body what it needs to maintain energy and a strong immune system!
Spinach Avocado Salad
1 pound spinach
2 avocados (diced)
juice form 2 limes
3 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp Atacora Baobab Powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix until Avocado coats spinach and serve!
- 3/4 cup plain greek-style yogurt, regular or non-fat
- 1 1/4 cup mango nectar
- 1 mango diced
- 2 Tbsp Atacora Baobab Superfruit Powder
Whisk together yogurt and mango nectar. Pour the mixture into a blender and add chopped mango and baobab powder. Puree until smooth. Add ice cube for an extra chill.
